From 1991 to 2008, Asmita’s work spanned seven areas: Arts, Culture and Publishing; Education and Literacy; Focussed Initiatives to combat vulnerability and discrimination; Counselling and Legal Services; Campaigns and Networking; Petitioning and Advocacy; and Research in Women’s Studies. Asmita: An Institutional History attempts to piece together this vast range of work by presenting selections from the Asmita archive.
